This park offers a rich varied wildlife with equally varied flora and fauna.

Some of the notable animals include cape buffalos, zebras, colobus monkeys, lions, and the most interesting, flamingos to whom we’ve dedicated one point below.

This dormant stratovolcano is located north of city of Arusha and the centerpiece of Arusha National Park. As it is big, it has different climate zones.

There’s also a second peak which is at lesser altitude of 3,801 meters. The slopes are mainly grasslands and host animals like giraffe, baboons, leopards, and birds.

This is a shallow alkaline lake fed by underground streams of water.

The water in here is rich in mineral and the algae present in it change the color of the water. Flamingos, Egyptian goose, and fowls can be seen in large numbers.

Also known as mini Ngorongoro, it is volcanic caldera which is 3 Km wide.

Mount Kilimanjaro can be noticed from a distance with good view of the crater flow. Large herd of buffalos and monkeys can be spotted here.

These pretty pink birds deserve a discrete place for them separate from wildlife. It is so because a large number of them can be found in this park.

Out of total six species of flamingos, the rare two are found in Tanzania and some place of Europe. And in some places of Arusha National Park, you can spot them in large numbers.
